Inner layer of mind
In the process of development and growth, every single child goes through some kind of hurt and mental disturbance. We in our unique way try to relate and co-relate outwardly bizarre events. We try to understand and digest death, birth, accident, natural calamity, departing, separation, illnesses, accidents happening with us or around etc. We try to keep developing by getting as much as we want.
We try to digest injustice, partial behavior, punishments and rewards, approval and disapproval. We develop our own strategy to manage the negative happenings and negative emotions generated inside.
Still, we go through excitement of success and frustration because of failure everyday.
In order to produce a meaning out of variety of events, we in early childhood and our adolescence unconsciously create a theme-a blue print of our position related to outer world. e.g. I am great!, I am special!, I am nobody, Bad things happen only to me! I am unfortunate!, I deserve the best in the world! etc.
After creation of this theme, we in our difficult phase of growth find a meaning of our life and weave the web around that theme. In our adulthood, we all forget about that deeply buried theme.
We all keep our dark secrets under lock and key in the dark closets in our mind. We keep memories which are hurtful, hard to digest, difficult to forget and forgive in these closets. They contain unwanted and unresolved shame, guilt, anger, discomfort, insult, pain of failures, jealousy, hatred, wish to hurt others, vengeance, illegal and disapproved wishes / desires / acts etc.
This bottomless pit is full of unapproachable and inaccessible memories and desires. We all create a wall a fort around this innermost part of us.
Therapist helps client to reopen this part and face the hidden emotions and resolve the innermost conflicts.
