Professional responsibilities

  1. Therapist is supposed to help a client as per his / her expertise, experience, confidence.
  2. He / she should not enforce anything on client...and help the client to decide for him / herself.
  3. He / she is not supposed to preach anything to the client against his / her wishes.
  4. He / she can refer a client to suitable expert in case of necessity.
  5. He / she is supposed to type/write/record the notes of each session.
  6. He / she is supposed to keep the data of clients confidential.
  7. In case of publication of therapeutic experience, one is supposed to take permission of the client and should not delve / disclose any traceable information.
  8. He / she should not take sexual or monetary disadvantage of the client.
