What is grief?

Its a series of emotional states one feels after an event of death of a significant person (loved one) in life.

What is the approximate time period one feels grief?

- it takes one year to resolve the pain felt due to loss of a loved one if resolved properly.
- sometimes one might not wish to or is unable to resolve the pain. It might remain at surface or remain buried in deep subconscious.

How does therapy help such a grieving individual?
- sharing pain
- helping to accept harsh realities of life
- helping unearth the exact type of loss one might be feeling
- working on that void
- helping to resolve and move on on one's separate way

How much time does it take?

- Depends upon the ability and wish of a grieving person to resolve the loss
- for quick relief 3-6 sessions
- for complete resolution approximately 3 months to 6 months.
